Food for Thought

We provide varied and well-balanced meals that are low in salt, sugar and saturated fat and high in fibre and vitamins. The average weeks menu includes 2 vegetarian meals with 1 each of fish, poultry and meat. Individual dietary needs are also met.

Breakfast is served from 8.00am to 8.45am, a fresh fruit snack at 10.00am, lunch at 12 noon and tea from 4.00pm. Water and milk are supplied at all meals and throughout the day as required. To maintain healthy teeth we do not include juice at any time.

In line with parent's wishes, we will also supply pureed fruit and vegetables for weaning babies introducing new foods when tried at home. Formula milk should be provided to ensure continuity.

Forest School

At Friends Forest School we know all about taking advantage of the learning opportunities the great outdoors can offer.

We are the first Nursery Forest School in Surrey, thanks to getting agreement from local landowners and training with the Wildlife Trust. The philosophy behind Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences.

There are key elements that make Forest Schools different to simply going outdoors.
