Partnership with Parents

In order to make the transition from home to nursery an enjoyable and stimulating experience, our communication with you is paramount.

You are welcome to visit your child at any time during the day and our staff will be pleased to answer any questions. In addition we will invite you to an annual open evening. You will receive information daily in verbal or written form and from quarterly newsletters.

Observations of your child's development are continuously recorded. Photos and examples of work are kept in your child's Profile. This is available for you to view at anytime.

 

At Friends Forest School we know all about taking advantage of the learning opportunities the great outdoors can offer. We are the first Nursery Forest School in Surrey, thanks to getting agreement from local landowners and training with the Wildlife Trust. The philosophy behind Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences.

There are key elements that make Forest Schools different to simply going outdoors.
